One thing that bothers me like crazy is when you see kids ride their motorcycle to and from the gym... That's one of the many times that you should NEVER ride a motorcycle. You're actively fatiguing your muscles and also your central nervous system.... By default, this is going to cause you to be fatigued and have a slower response time. You might even have muscles not respond due to the CNS fatigue, let alone not noticing the details of the ride. Purely an ignorance is bliss mindset. Motorcycle safety aside, you also have to ask yourself... If you're able to ride a motorcycle after the gym, did you even have a good workout? Did you even push yourself? It's a double edged sword on this topic...

I agree. This bike is an Instagram bike. And every time when I ride any of these BMWs I fucking love them but at the same time I can feel like this is the only bike's/car brand which wants you to like it, almost craves for this. You can feel that everything is made in the way that everyone like it. Therefore though I like German engineering I don't want to buy any of their creations because there's no any spark of madness in them. They're feeling sterile.

I find it funny that the experience of the driver is linked to the displacement of the engine in most Motorcycle videos. The best driver I know personally drives a 250 for the most part. Also the term "Beginner bike" seems strange. There are bikes better vor beginners than others but if I drive a 400x for the rest of my life will I still be a beginner?

Are there any statistics about the relatively safety of allowing lane filtering? Here in PA it's illegal, while often in urban areas it would make a lot of sense and might encourage more people to use motorcycles for everyday uses.

These reviews, omitting the service parts availability problems with KTM, does a disservice to potential buyers. I own a 2022 Svart which I purchased new. I’ve repeatedly waiting for extremely long periods of time for parts. I’ve been waiting for six months for a defective radiator fan to be replaced. KTM couldn’t care less. I waited a month for an oil filter. I’m still waiting for other parts that are less critical going on a year now. A bike that has defects and can’t be repaired is completely useless. I hope to warn potential buyers in a way that I was not.

Hey there, I've been using BST carbon fiber wheels on my Gixxer-1000, '06 as a track day rider and times to times as a club racer too, since 2008. 1st thing 1st: absolutely no issues at all of any kind. 2nd: the feeling I had when I used the carbon fiber wheels was like I ran my whole life with military boots and suddenly I swapped them with running shoes. I just cannot forget that feeling so I am pretty happy to share it with anyone interested. I definitely respect Yammie Noob and I like his very well documented video, based on his racing expertise too, but I honestly won't change carbon fiber wheels for Magnesium. I had Mg on an R1 too and I can tell they were awesome, but Mg has a disadvantage: it is not happy in contact with the air, if some gravel hit the rims and chip their powder coat. An easy fix with some touch up paint, but they always require a lot of attention do not let the Mg exposed to the atmosphere.

Just got to test ride this bike!! Coming from someone who owns an FZ6R and an Interceptor 650, these are my thoughts: THE GOOD: - not sure what's wrong with yams bike. 0-60 for my demo SCR was 4 seconds flat, the bike absolutely scooted and felt as fast as my FZ6. Felt about as light too; and the weight is kept low. My guess is that the bike sits closer to 450lbs wet and the hp is slightly under-reported or the gearing is just that short. No issues at all doing 100+MPH - handling was fantastic. Incredibly modern and smooth, like riding a magic carpet. It competes with my FZ and puts my Royal Enfield to shame. - motor is reasonably smooth with no unsettling vibrations. Just a subtle pulse which gradually increases to a minor buzz at redline. The bike let me knew it was there and I wasn't bothered with poor vibrations like on some inline 4s or twin-cyl bikes. THE BAD: - Motor runs worryingly hot. Like way hotter than a 650 making "55hp" should run. I've owned chinese bikes before, and this gave me similar vibes. Namely, I'd trust it to go anywhere for the first 3 years. I would NOT be confident owning this bike for the next 20 years after that. - power is WAYYY up at the rev range. This is where it does in fact feel like an overgrown 300; I had no pull until about 5,000RPMs deep into the tach, and max thrust is basically achieved at redline. The motor is not particularly linear and makes you work to go fast. It's all the (subjectively) annoyances of a 600 supersport with none of the power. - sounds like a far blown through a tin can. I could probably live with the revviness of the motor if it sounded like a crossplane twin but that crankshaft stops me from enjoying it whatsoever. The bike... FEELS Japanese. I truly felt like I was riding a versys 650 wearing a bow tie and a suit. If you're looking for a raw Italian sportbike, this isn't it. This bike is something you buy as a second bike to keep miles off your project bike, or as a more attractive replacement to a scooter. If the objective is PURELY transportation in style, it's a beautiful machine. And I have faith in the Morini brand: the new 750 corsa corta v-twin bikes look incredibly promising! I hope to see more, and to see better from them in the future :)

I remember back in the late 1970s, I had a new Kawasaki Z1R 1000. I stopped at a buddy's motorcycle shop, while he was installing a set of Mikuni Smooth-Bore carburetors on this really clean Hardly Davisin 1200 Sportster. The Sportster was exceptionally clean, but had they Hardly straight-pipes on it, with a set of straight "cafe-style" handlebars. I was admiring the bike, since most Hardly Davisin riders don't clean their bikes. The friend of mine who owned the shop also commented on the bikes condition, wishing everyone took such good care of their motorcycles. Then we got into the whole Hardly Davisin conversation about them having so much torque on-hand at low rpms. My friend, sort of smirked, then said, "You've never ridden one of these things, have you?" I told him no, I had not. After completing the carburetor install, then jetting it, adjusting the needles, he suggested we go for a ride with that Hardly. Now, the thing is, I frequently worked at this motorcycle shop, helping my friend out, when he was over booked. He trusted me implicitly, often taking test rides on a customer's motorcycle, then giving him my opinion on what the bike needed or didn't need. I rode my Kawasaki, while my friend rode the 1200 Sportster. We did a few high gear roll-on tests between the two bikes from 50 mph. I was amazed how easily my stock Kawasaki Z1R would pull away from that 1200cc Hardly Sportster. Both of us in high gear, both side by side. Then we switched bikes, since my friend riding the Sportster was about 50 pounds heavier. However, the very same thing happened. I was sure the Sportster had loads of low-end grunt. I was so wrong. It was really a joke. Hardlys have very little power. My Z1R was completely stock at that time, and to me the Kawasaki felt very weak in high gear at 50 mph. It just goes to show, Hardly Davisins have nothing going for them!

I owned one and rode it for a year. Correct me if I'm wrong, but yourself, like most people, probably rode it in sport or race mode most of the time. The sweet spot of smooth and progressive throttle control is in the touring mode. The downfall of this bike is reliability, or lack thereof. It lacks the ability to be ridden in all street conditions in a hot southern state.

Unfortunately, there are no restrictions on the ability to over-twist the right wrist other than you. Unfortunately, a total lack of gear just can't keep your skin on, even in low speed offs. Unfortunately, you can't re-spawn if you f&ck up. At 65, I decided that I had broken enough bones and torn enough ligaments to realize that my best years of riding were behind me, regardless of my master-level skills, especially when kids in cars were determined to keep trying kill me. Depends on roads, skill level, and what you’re looking for in a bike. The US has a lot of open highway space so a 400cc isn’t enough power to do those long stretches at 65-75mph. On the other hand a 400 is pretty much perfect if you are staying inside a city or town and don’t want to be risking a speeding ticket every time you get on your bike.
